WINFIELD, W.Va. – The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WVSBDC) will offer a small business workshop “Licensing & Organizing Your New Business” from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 15 at the West Virginia State Community & Technical College, Cole Complex, Room 112, Institute.

Kathleen Thornton, a business consultant with more than 15 years of experience, will conduct the workshop. Topics include legal organization, licenses and permits, the insurance required and how to find the best location for your business.

The West Virginia Small Business Division (WVSBD) is a division of the West Virginia Development Office and works with colleges, universities and other host institutions to provide free business consulting and technical assistance statewide. The WVSBD is a program supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
