Generation Charleston's Homebuyer Panel is This Evening!
Generation Charleston, the young professional's committee of the Charleston Area Alliance, is sponsoring a Homebuyer Panel from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. this evening at United Bank. The event is designed to help first time buyers through the process of finding and purchasing a new home. It also will include a discussion about the development and availability of loft-style apartments in the downtown area.
The Homebuyer Panel features a lineup of regional experts including Barbara Rucker of United Bank; Alan Pennington of Great Expectations Realty; Lew Tyree of the West Virginia Housing Development Fund; and Julio Davalos of Charleston Area Lofts.
“A lot of our members are new professionals who have just moved to Charleston and are faced with the challenge of finding a place to live,” said Danielle Waltz, Generation Charleston Co-Chair. “For first time buyers, the process can be pretty daunting, so we formed this panel as a way to help both our group and the community at large.”
The Generation Charleston Homebuyer Panel is free and open to the public. No registration necessary, and refreshments will be available. United Bank is located at 500 Virginia Street in downtown Charleston.
